OLYMPICS HOUSING UPDATE - IMPORTANT!
Homeowners that choose to be away during the Olympics have the opportunity by providing accommodation for Olympic officials - not tourists, but government backed officials - to make thousands of dollars. At an average of $125.00 per bed per night they have the potential of making $5,000 to more than $50,000 depending on the number of beds and the number of days they choose to make their home available. The homeowner contracts to provide at least a single bed for each official and may provide a maximum of two beds per full bathroom. The contractor, who has agreed to provide 6,000 beds for Olympic officials for terms from 20 days to a maximum of 83 days, before, during and after the 2010 Olympics has generously agreed to pay a 10% finders fee to the Disability Foundation for any accommodation contract we can introduce - a win/win for all parties. The cut off dated for applications is likely to be extended to July 15. Check the web site www.vanlodging.ca for confirmation of this next week.
